Raj Abhyanker PC is pleased to announce that the firm has added on its core patent application, patent prosecution and intellectual property services by representing our clients in all aspects of corporate law and high technology transactions. The firm has added a new technology transactions partner, Uday Rau, to oversee the Technology Transactions Group in the Mountain View, California office, effective January 15, 2009. With this addition, we hope to provide a more robust set of services to meet our client needs.

Mr. Rau is joining Raj Abhyanker PC from Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, a Silicon Valley law firm, where he specialized as a senior attorney in all aspects of technology transactions, including entity formations, venture fund and angel financings, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, initial public offerings, asset sales and purchases, strategic and IP alliances, corporate partnering and related labor, executive compensation and employment issues. Prior to Gunderson Dettmer, Mr. Rau served as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Lehman Brothers, Inc. in New York City, New York.

Mr. Rau is a 1996 graduate of Claremont McKenna College (summa cum laude), and a 2002 graduate of Columbia Business School (MBA) and the Columbia Law School (Juris Doctorate) where he served on the editorial board of the Columbia Business Law Review.
